Yankee Boys on a walk with mom before dinner in downtown Olympia.

The state capitol building across the lake.

Buddy was tuckered out from all that walking.

The Olympia harbor with the mountain range way in the background.

Storytime with mom after a nice day.

Tuesday

Tuesday
Arch had a good time with mom as she folded laundry this morning.

Abe climbing up from the water and Teddy walking down to jump. The tug is pulling in an empty barge to be filled with pulp.

Teddy jumping of the dock.

The Wenner boys of Summer with the barge returning to Tacoma to drop the load at the papermill.

Stories with Buddy

Stories with Buddy
Arch and Mom at storytime.

Archie really got into the story and he started kicking and shaking while Teresa read.

Sunday Hike

Sunday Hike
We went for a hike with Tracy, Hannah and Maddie near their house. It is a beautiful trail that has been coverted from the old railroad line--it wraps around Lake Whatcom and was a beautiful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Maddie by the lake.

Dad and Buddy climbing up the Falls--Tracy is lost somewhere in the woods above...

Arch was getting a little cranky, so we turned him face forward in the Bjorn and he loved it--cheered him right up.

Buddy watching Aunt Hannah prepare a delicious dinner.

Fair Day

Fair Day
We drove up to see Tracy, Hannah and Maddie to go the local Fair. It was in a Dutch settled valley and was absolutely beautiful--you can see the mountain peaks in the background. Dairy is the lifeblood of this area and there were more 6 foot, blonde hair, blue eyed people in one location than we have ever seen. We had a great time and loved seeing all the animals and events.

The big Windmill at the corner in the cute town.

The Famous treats at the fair--dough balls deep fried and rolled in butter, cinnamon and sugar....

Our first of many food stand stops....

The heavy draft teams brought in the Dairy Queen Ambassadors and it was a lot of fun to see all the different kinds of heavy horses--beautiful animals.

They opened it up for a "free ride" and it was really neat to see them work the teams, running and turning as they went about the arena.

Teddy's favorite cow.

Buddy really liked the Pygmy Goats.

Some rugging examples for Nana.

The family by an old John Deere and yes, Teresa is in head to toe denim--Yee-Haw!

Archie and mom all ready for bed at the end of a long, great day.

Archie Roll

Archie Roll
We went out to dinner tonight to grab some sushi and Arch did great, probably due to the meditative state he entered at the beginning of dinner.

Archie soon gave up on the chopsticks idea and decided on mom instead.

Military Mommy

Military Mommy
Teresa had to do some things with work today, so we thought we should take a pic of Mom and the bambino together. Archie is scowling as always, a real Mr. Tough Guy.

Tuesday Playtime

Tuesday Playtime
Archie and Dori were able to hang out today and have some fun together.

Happy cousins holding hands and frolicking through their imaginary world.

Safari Monday

Safari Monday
Grandpa finally got all of his animals back from his South African Safari--Archie and the Impala thought they just caught a glimpse of the elusive Striped African Zebra

Now Arch and the Springbok are on the lookout...

I think he just ran over there...

Archer growled as he crawled over the hide of the Zebra, knowing that he was the now the great hunter of his namesake.

A beautiful sunset settled over the hunting camp and all the animals were safe until morn.....

Sunday Sun

Sunday Sun
We went to Shelton in the late morning to beat the heat again and Archie did about 15 minutes of good tummy time--had to work off the calories from last night's triple feeding.

The coveted blue striped umbrella, given to only the most seasoned and fearless Lifeguards in the Northwest.

Must be a substitute...

Mom and Dad enjoying Archie's nap.

The vigilant parents...

A happy baby up from his nap!

Beach Baby

Beach Baby
Today was a gorgeous--90 degrees at the beach with a nice wind, so we decided to take advantage of it and drove out to Ocean City on the Washington Coast, about 75 minutes from our place. Driving on the beach is so convenient and fun. We had a great day out there and stopped at a seafood shack on the way back for fresh salmon and oyster shooters--delicious!

Mom and Arch enjoying the beach for the first time as a family.

The tide comes in quickly here because it is so flat for so far out--we ended up moving the truck twice before the ocean claimed her.

Miles of beautiful shoreline.

Archie loves chomping on anything near his mouth..

Watching for Sharks

Hanging on to Dad.

Mom and her little love.

You can see in this pic that his eyes are getting a little green.

Monday
Today was beautiful, so we put Arch in the pool to settle some of his crankiness--calmed him right down.

About to eat his friend, Mr. Fist.

We decided to see how Archie would do with his head and whole body in the water, flat on his back with the water covering his ears...Happy as a clam!

All ready for bed!

Finally down after a long day of fun, trying to wish the world away...

Enough with the camera!

We went to the fabric store today to pick out the material for the valances. We found some great fabric and now just have to make them and the pillows! Archie was good the entire time and is already "so done" with these blues....

Friday

Friday
This is Lorna, the woman who does Teresa's nails. She loves Archie!

We launched the boat and it quickly died out, so Teddy had to jump in and swim it in since the wind was too strong to paddle. Bernie is at the bow, anxiously watching things and Mary is helping paddle.

Doctors and Terah's Coming Home!
Buddy had a long rough night last night and was pretty tuckered. We headed off to the Doctors today for Teresa and he slept the entire 3 hours. Everything checked out great and the Doctor was really happy with how things looked and how she was doing.

Here he just caught sight of Teresa and is trying to entice her to meet for breakfast.

It was great to see Terah and have her meet Archie. She just got back from Germany and it has been over a year since we saw her last. Hopefully, she'll get to have lots of time with her nephew now that she is home!

Archie and Dori enjoyed some quiet time together as we all ate dinner.

Lazy Sunday

Lazy Sunday
Archie seems to give in too easliy and we will have to work on his determination and will to fight. We hope the "I surrender" sign was just a ploy to lure the enemy closer before he pounced.

Teddy and Archie snuggled up a bit while Teddy watched the ball game.

This is what snuggle time turned into--a long nap together, almost 2.5 hours!

Teresa and Archie taking a late afternoon nap by the fire and enjoying the peace and quiet of the day.
